The Ladies in waiting all provided examples of styles that they liked and which suited them. We produced a collection of styles based on these examples. These
were unified by strong geometrical shapes in the necklines, skirt shapes and waistlines, and also by a sky-blue silk dupion fabric.Top left - a long dress with a slashed neckline, A-line skirt and a horizontal waitline on the natural waist.
Middle left - a fitted bodice with a waistline just below the natural waist, and an A-line skirt. The narrow straps were made to be detachable if required.
Bottom left - a fitted bodice with a slashed neckline, combined with a skirt that was A-line from the front but falling in box pleats at the back.
