The chief bridemaid’s outfit was inspired both by the bride’s dress and also by designs that she provided as examples of styles she liked. The neckline of the dress mirrored that of the wedding dress and the skirt was A-line in style but slightly less full than that of the bride.
The bolero jacket was based on the bride’s organza jacket, but was constructed in the same blue silk as the dress and was given longer sleeves than that of the bride. This mirrored and accentuated the style of the main wedding dress.
